The Dallas Mavericks are looking for a Videographer to create high-quality video content that brings the organization to life — planning, shooting, and editing footage that spans on-court moments, such as games and practices, and off-court content, including marketing, community, and behind-the-scenes storytelling.
Essential Job Functions:
- Shoot high-quality video and record audio across the organization, including game night and practice footage, marketing shoots, community events, and behind-the-scenes content.
- Plan video shoots, develop storyboards, and assist with scripting and scheduling.
- Operate and maintain professional video and lighting equipment, ensuring proper settings and capturing high-quality footage.
- Edit raw footage using specialized software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects), adding motion graphics, sound, and special effects.
- Work closely with creative directors, producers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide creative input.
- Organize, manage, and archive video files and project assets.
- Ensure all video content is consistent with brand guidelines and meets project objectives and technical specifications.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage timelines, and adapt to different project requirements and environments.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Expert knowledge of digital video cameras, lighting equipment, and editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong eye for visual composition, storytelling, and the ability to develop engaging video concepts.
- Meticulous attention to detail for editing, color correction, and consistent branding.
- Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and team members to understand needs and manage expectations.
- Aptitude for troubleshooting issues that arise during shoots or post-production, such as equipment malfunctions.
- Strong project, file, and deadline management skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in film, media production, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3+ years of professional videography experience.
