Videographer & Video Editor

About the Role

We are looking for a Videographer & Video Editor who enjoys working in real production environments and wants to develop across corporate events, branded videos, interviews and short form content.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary production team that includes a Producer, Videographers, a dedicated Video Editor, Account and Project Managers, Photographers and other production support.

Depending on the project, you may take ownership of both filming and editing, contribute to storyboarding and production planning, or work alongside other team members handling different parts of the project.

We value versatility and ownership, but you will have a team to collaborate with and count on throughout the production process.

Most productions take place on location. Firefly provides the cameras, lighting, audio equipment, editing workstations and studio facilities required for our projects, so you will not be expected to provide your own production equipment.

Firefly Photography is a Singapore media production company serving corporate, government and institutional clients.

We have served more than 10,000 clients, including organisations such as NUS, NTU, SMU, NTUC, SAFRA and SP Group, and have supported the National Day Parade as a media partner since 2014.

Our 1,250 sqft headquarters includes a cyclorama studio, editing workstations and professional production equipment.

What You Will Be Doing

Videography & Production

• Cover corporate events, launches, campaigns and other live productions
• Film interviews and talking head content with good composition, lighting and clean audio
• Shoot short form reels and branded digital content
• Prepare and operate cameras, lighting and audio equipment
• Contribute to storyboarding, shot planning and production preparation where required
• Work alongside the Producer and other team members during productions
• Communicate professionally with clients, project teams and crew on location

Editing & Post Production

• Edit using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or equivalent professional software
• Produce clean and engaging edits using music, sound, text and transitions where appropriate
• Perform colour correction and audio adjustments
• Prepare deliverables according to project and client requirements
• Collaborate with our Video Editor, Producer and project team during reviews and delivery

Depending on the project, you may handle both filming and editing or focus on a specific part of the production while other responsibilities are shared across the team.

Production Workflow

• Maintain organised project files, backups and naming conventions
• Keep project schedules and progress updated
• Follow Firefly’s established production and delivery workflows
• Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and communicate early when support is required
• Continuously develop your production and editing capabilities
• Learn and adapt to evolving video formats, technology and AI assisted creative workflows

Who We Are Looking For

• Around 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, or a strong portfolio demonstrating your ability
• Comfortable operating cameras independently
• Good foundation in composition and visual storytelling
• Competent in basic lighting and audio for interviews and event production
• Able to edit independently using Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or equivalent software
• Comfortable communicating with corporate clients and internal teams
• Reliable with deadlines and production schedules
• Willing to take ownership while knowing when to ask for support
• Open to feedback and continuous learning

Experience in photography, motion graphics, After Effects or more advanced production work is an advantage, but not required.

Work Schedule

This is a full time, production based role.

General studio hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

As our working schedules are driven by actual productions and client requirements:

• Saturday availability is required when productions are scheduled
• Some assignments may also take place during evenings, Sundays or public holidays
• Call times and working hours may vary depending on the production
• Rest days and working arrangements will be adjusted according to production schedules

During lighter periods where there are no weekend productions, work will generally be completed within the regular weekday schedule.

We aim to plan productions as early as possible, although occasional short notice assignments or schedule changes are part of event and production work.

After probation, some suitable editing or non production work may occasionally be completed remotely where appropriate, subject to project and team requirements.
