Virtual CFO
The VCFO Department of one of the fastest-growing accounting firms in the country is seeking a Virtual CFO who is motivated to learn, excited to collaborate and passionate about delivering outstanding results. This individual will have a direct impact on our firm’s mission of serving as a catalyst for those striving to achieve their highest potential.
In this role, you will be primarily responsible for participating and collaborating with our clients on all financial aspects of their business. You will identify and regularly review the key drivers of the business to gain a better understanding of the company and to offer insights on improvements. Other Virtual CFO services include maintaining the financial forecast that aligns with the strategy of the business, industry benchmarking, team compensation planning, and managing lending relationships.
What You'll Do:
- Maintain the relationship with client’s leadership team and decide the best actions as it relates to client satisfaction
- Have final responsibility for all client deliverables; must lead the team in delivering items timely and accurately
- Develop a consulting relationship with the client’s leadership team through delivery of the financial statements and forecast as well as providing guidance on future business decisions
- Expand knowledge that can be delivered to our clients through internal trainings, meetings, and self study
- Understand signed statement of work and pricing model. If client is looking for a change of services be able to accurately quote and articulate new pricing options
- Attend two mandatory company retreats per year

- Ability to work independently with expanding duties and responsibilities
- Excellent client service skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management
- Forward-thinker who is open to new ideas and a desire to try new technologies and processes
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills
- Works well under pressure
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- CPA preferred with at least 6 years relevant experience
- Extensive experience with Excel (pivot tables, VBA, and macros a plus)
- QuickBooks, FreshBooks, and Xero experience a plus
- Construction Industry experience required
- Business (and personal) tax experience a plus
Please note, the VCFO Department has a bonus program that will be discussed during an initial interview.
The stated pay scale reflects the range that Anders reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and firm business practices.
