Raytheon has an opportunity for an energetic and motivated intern in Test Engineering. An internship with Engineering will allow for broad exposure to both senior leadership and Enterprise-wide initiatives as well as learning and using Raytheon’s tools and resources. Raytheon Vision Systems is seeking a summer intern to support the Engineering Department.

The ideal candidate should have strong academic credentials and experience in working in a teamwork environment, having not only academic, but also interpersonal skills to help optimize our teams. Additionally, the candidate should possess an inquisitive nature and a strong desire to learn real world applications to complement their academic experience.

This position is an onsite role in Goleta, CA.

What You Will Do:

• You will support a multi-disciplinary engineering team completed tasks such as planning, development, trade studies, and performance analysis.
• You will perform integration, verification and validation testing to support delivery of a new EO/IR Sensor Systems.
• You will support execution and procurement activities in support of an engineering build.
• You will collaborate with operations and manufacturing teams.
  

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Must be pursuing a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) degree.
• This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Junior or Senior standing level by the start of Summer 2027.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
• Prior RTX internship experience

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Professional internships or academic research that provides experience applying Experience with programming in LABVIEW and/or MATLAB for test automation and/or data analysis
• Experience with instrumentation and collection of large data sets, including the application of scripting or automation to data collection and analysis

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

This position requires ability to obtain a security clearance. The salary range for this role is 42,000 USD - 88,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
