Job Description

Role Overview We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Program Manager / Infrastructure Delivery Manager to manage multiple enterprise VMware implementation projects simultaneously. This is a customer-facing role requiring a strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure and VMware technologies. The candidate will act as the key interface between customers, internal architecture and engineering teams, technology partners, and leadership. The role requires someone who can understand customer business requirements, translate them into technical requirements, drive the technical teams toward successful delivery, manage risks and escalations, and provide clear project reporting to all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple VMware infrastructure implementation projects running in parallel.
• Act as the primary delivery contact for enterprise customers.
• Understand customer business and technical requirements and translate them into actionable requirements for architecture and implementation teams.
• Work closely with VMware architects, infrastructure engineers and technical specialists to ensure successful delivery.
• Track project scope, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and deliverables.
• Manage resource requirements and dependencies across multiple concurrent projects.
• Conduct regular customer governance, project reviews and status meetings.
• Provide consolidated project status, risks and escalations to internal leadership and technology partner stakeholders.
• Proactively identify delivery risks, technical blockers and scope changes and drive them to resolution.
• Ensure projects meet agreed timelines, quality standards and customer acceptance criteria.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and manage escalations effectively.

Mandatory Experience

• Strong experience delivering enterprise IT infrastructure implementation projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously.
• Strong delivery experience with VMware technologies, particularly:
• VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter
• VMware vSAN
• VMware NSX
• Good understanding of infrastructure architecture, networking, storage, virtualization and private cloud concepts.
• Strong customer-facing and stakeholder-management experience.
• Ability to work effectively with architects, engineers and senior customer stakeholders.
• Experience managing project schedules, RAID items, dependencies, resources, change requests and escalations.

Preferred Experience with the following will be an advantage:

• VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
• VMware Kubernetes solutions / Tanzu
• Datacentre modernization and migration
• Private cloud transformation
• VMware professional services or OEM-led implementation projects
• System integrators or infrastructure consulting organizations

VMware, PMP, PRINCE2 or similar certifications are desirable but not mandatory.Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be technically strong enough to understand VMware architecture and implementation discussions while also having the program management skills required to manage several customer engagements concurrently. This is not a purely administrative Project Manager role. The candidate should be able to ask the right technical questions, challenge delivery teams where required, manage customer expectations and take end-to-end ownership of project delivery.Experience Typically, 1015+ years of IT experience, with significant experience in:

• Infrastructure project/program management
• VMware implementation projects
• Customer-facing delivery
• Managing multiple parallel projects

Location & TravelLocation: Mumbai preferred.The candidate must be willing to:

• Travel within Mumbai for customer meetings and project activities.
• Travel to other customer locations as required.
• Work with distributed architecture and engineering teams.
