Job Details:

The Sr. Infrastructure Engineer will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in VMWare technologies and will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our infrastructure. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage VMWare environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Monitor and maintain infrastructure systems, including servers, storage, and network components.

Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and infrastructure upgrades.

Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes, configurations, and procedures.

Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.

Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to infrastructure systems.

Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning of infrastructure resources.

Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.

Mandatory Skills:

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with VMWare technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.

Proficiency in managing virtualized environments and understanding of virtualization best practices.

Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools and performance tuning.

Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.

Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of cloud technologies and hybrid cloud environments.

Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).

Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.

Experience with storage solutions and SAN technologies.

Certifications related to VMWare or infrastructure management (e.g., VCP, VCAP).

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Relevant certifications in VMWare or infrastructure management are highly desirable.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
