Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach individuals as they develop career goals, workplace skills, confidence, and greater independence
  • Guide clients through career exploration, job seeking, onboarding, workplace adjustment, and long-term employment success
  • Build relationships with local employers to create inclusive employment, training, and work-based learning opportunities
  • Develop individualized service plans based on each person’s strengths, abilities, preferences, and goals
  • Provide on-site and off-site job coaching, skill development, and personalized workplace support
  • Teach interviewing, workplace communication, problem-solving, professional behavior, job retention, and independent living skills
  • Partner with employers to identify reasonable accommodations, promote disability inclusion, and support positive workplace relationships
  • Coordinate transportation, benefits support, work-based learning experiences, and other services connected to client goals
  • Advocate for clients while collaborating with employers, referral sources, families, and community partners
  • Respond to workplace concerns or crises with professionalism, sound judgment, and individualized support
  • Monitor client progress, service authorizations, utilization, and employment outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communication in accordance with confidentiality, contractual, CARF, and organizational standards


Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Offer an associate or bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation, human services, social services, education, psychology, business, or a related field preferred
  • Bring experience in vocational rehabilitation, supported employment, job coaching, case management, disability services, social services, or a related field preferred


Additional Qualifications:

  • Build positive and respectful relationships with clients, employers, referral sources, community partners, and team members
  • Understand disabilities, workplace inclusion, assistive technology, and reasonable accommodations, or demonstrate a willingness to learn
  • Communicate clearly through coaching, instruction, employer engagement, and written documentation
  • Organize multiple client needs, appointments, employment activities, and reporting requirements
  • Work independently in community and employment settings while collaborating with the Firefly team
  • Adapt to client and employer needs, including occasional evening, weekend, or overnight hours when required
  • Travel throughout Wentzville, St. Peters, and surrounding communities to support clients and engage employers
