The role centers on tools like Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro, voice-over software, and audio editing, working closely with engineers, instructors, and product owners.
We are searching for a Voice Over and Video Editor to reinforce our team in aspects of video creation and voice-over of educational content. In this role, you will use video editing software to capture and process instructional videos for our platforms. You will plan, structure, and execute the video content creation process. You will read instructions and create voice-overs with the help of voice-over software and sync them with videos. Your creative skills will help enhance the quality and impact of the video content. You will communicate with engineers, instructors, and product owners to identify the objectives and timelines of each video.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Development: Plan, script, and storyboard video content in collaboration with subject matter experts to ensure educational objectives are met.
Video Editing: Capture, edit, and enhance video content using video editing software; apply effects, transitions, and graphics to improve the overall quality and engagement of videos.
Voice-over Recording: Read scripts and record high-quality voiceovers using professional voiceover software and equipment, ensuring clear and engaging audio delivery.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all videos adhere to the educational team's specifications, guidelines, and quality standards; review and proofread content for accuracy and consistency.
Collaboration: Communicate with engineers, instructors, and product owners to understand video requirements, gather feedback, and make necessary adjustments to content.
Trend Analysis: Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in video production and voice-over techniques to continuously improve the quality and impact of educational videos.
Project Management: Manage the video content creation process from concept to completion, including scheduling, resource allocation, and meeting deadlines.
Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to video and audio editing software and equipment.
Content Optimization: Optimize videos for different platforms and devices to ensure the best possible viewing experience for users.
Feedback Implementation: Monitor user feedback and analytics to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the effectiveness of video content.
Requirements
Education:
Relevant coursework or degree in media production, communications, journalism, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Prior experience in narration (journalism, subtitling, video editing, Upwork projects, teaching, singing, songwriting, etc.).
Proven track record of producing engaging video content and effective voice-overs.
Language skills:
Fluent speaking English language
British or American accent
Technical Skills:
Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
Familiarity with voice-over software and techniques.
Knowledge of audio editing and synchronization.
Understanding of video and audio formats and compression techniques.
Creative Skills:
Ability to create engaging and high-quality video content.
Strong storytelling and script-writing abilities.
