Volleyball Scorekeeper

Position Summary

Roosevelt City Recreation is seeking dependable and enthusiastic individuals to serve as Youth Volleyball Scorekeepers/Helpers. This position supports the successful operation of the youth volleyball program by keeping score, assisting with game-day operations, and helping create a fun, safe, and organized environment for participants, coaches, and spectators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep accurate score and operate the scoreboard during youth volleyball games.
• Assist Recreation staff with setting up and taking down equipment before and after games.
• Help ensure games start on time and run efficiently.
• Provide courteous assistance to coaches, players, and spectators as needed.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Roosevelt City Recreation.
• Report any game-day concerns, incidents, or equipment issues to Recreation staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 14 years of age.
• Knowledge of volleyball scoring is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
• Ability to work well with staff, coaches, and the public.
• Dependable, punctual, and responsible.
• Ability to work weekday evenings and occasional weekends during the volleyball season.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work in a gymnasium environment.

Compensation

• $10.00 per game
