Job Summary:
Killington/Pico Resort Volunteer Patroller plays a critical role in maintaining slope safety, providing emergency medical care, and educating guests. Ski patrol helps ensure that guests can experience the mountain safely and confidently.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide emergency first aid to injured guests
- Transport injured and uninjured skier/riders
- Patrol assigned mountain areas regularly, identify and mark hazards
- Participate in appropriate training workshops/clinics and study of instructional material
- Enforce and educate company skiing safety regulations and take appropriate disciplinary action as needed
- Perform trail closing procedures
- Assist in lift evacuation
- Complete all documentation as it pertains to accident reports
- Assist in maintaining tools and equipment used in rescue and trail maintenance work
- Provide superior service to our internal and external guests
- Perform other tasks as assigned
