Our Australian Red Cross shops help turn pre-loved treasures into life-changing support for vulnerable people and communities across Australia and further afield.
And we need you! Whether you're looking to give back, meet new people, learn new skills, or gain retail experience, you'll join more than 3500 retail volunteers across the country making a real impact. Every shift makes a difference. It’s okay if you don’t have previous experience. A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn is what we are looking for.
What does a typical day look like in a Shop?
Our volunteers help with a variety of tasks including:

Welcoming and engaging customers
Creating vibrant displays to attract shoppers
Processing transactions
Sorting and pricing donations
Keeping the shop clean and tidy

What’s the application process?

No resume needed – just complete an online application
You’ll be invited to a casual interview in store
You must be at least 15 years of age (QLD – You must be 16)
Completing a National Police check (paid for by Red Cross)
Complete an Induction into our organisation and Retail program
