Description

FIFA has established a Local FIFA Subsidiary in Brazil to work together with FIFA Zurich to deliver the biggest women’s sporting event in the world, the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ (“FWWC2027”) that for the first time ever, is hosted in South America in Brazil. Now is your time to be part of the workforce that is creating this unique and unforgettable experience.

Please submit your CV in English, as it will be reviewed by an international team.
Reporting to the Senior Volunteer Manager - FIFA27, and working under the functional guidance of the FIFA Volunteer Management team in Zurich, the Volunteer System Manager will make sure the FIFA Volunteer Management Tool is used consistently and to FIFA's established standards across the FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027™.

FIFA Zurich owns the FIFA Volunteer Management Tool and defines the service levels, processes, and standards applied at every FIFA tournament. The Volunteer System Manager will receive intensive training from FIFA Zurich. The role then transfers these standards to the local edition in Brazil, so that all requirements are understood, adopted, and applied by the local organisation.

A core part of the role is training and supporting system users at FIFA27 Headquarters in Rio de Janeiro and across all eight Host Cities. The role also acts as a key link between the Volunteer team and other Functional Areas and provides regular reporting to local and FIFA Zurich stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Complete intensive onboarding and training with FIFA Zurich on the FIFA Volunteer Management Tool, its processes, and service standards.
  • Apply and maintain FIFA's tournament standards in Brazil, translating and transferring requirements to the local context.
  • Support the implementation of volunteer processes in the tool, from selection and role allocation through to scheduling and tournament-time operations, including test events where applicable.
  • Identify local requirements or challenges and escalate them to FIFA Zurich, contributing to agreed solutions rather than independently changing system set-up.
  • Train FIFA27 HQ and Host City volunteer teams on the use of the FIFA Volunteer Management Tool, using materials and guidelines provided by FIFA Zurich.
  • Adapt training materials to the local context and language (Portuguese), in alignment with FIFA Zurich.
  • Deliver Train-the-Trainer sessions so that Host City teams can support their own users.
  • Act as the first point of contact for local user questions and issues, resolving them where possible and escalating to FIFA Zurich as required.
  • Manage user access requests and validations in line with FIFA processes.
  • Act as the link between the Volunteer team and other Functional Areas to support data exchange and aligned processes.
  • Coordinate with FIFA Zurich on dependencies with other FIFA and local systems.
  • Participate in testing activities (e.g., UAT, simulations, readiness exercises) as coordinated by FIFA Zurich.
  • Produce regular reports and status updates for the Senior Volunteer Manager, Host City teams, and FIFA Zurich, using agreed formats and tools.
  • Monitor data quality and completeness in the tool and follow up with local teams on corrections.
  • Ensure data is handled in line with FIFA data protection standards and Brazilian legislation (LGPD).
  • Provide on-the-ground system support to HQ and Host City teams during the tournament, in coordination with FIFA
    Zurich.
  • Support close-out activities, including data clean-up, handover, and input into the debrief report.
Responsibilities of the role will likely evolve during the lifespan of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™, and the successful candidate should be supportive and flexible to additional requirements.
  • Strong experience in volunteer, workforce, or sport event operations, ideally involving systems or databases.
  • Experience using volunteer or workforce management systems; experience with Rosterfy is a strong advantage.
  • Proven experience delivering training to diverse user groups.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical processes clearly.
  • Good analytical and reporting skills (e.g., Excel; Power BI or similar is a plus).
  • Comfortable working within established frameworks and following guidance from a central team, while proactively raising issues and ideas.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and service-minded.
  • Collaborative team player, comfortable in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for sport, community, and volunteering.
  • Right to work in Brazil.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Fluent in Portuguese (spoken and written)
  • Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro.
