Help Keep People Connected to Their Community
We are seeking caring and reliable Volunteer Drivers to support older people and individuals living with disability to maintain their independence, wellbeing, and connection to the community.
Based at our Harman Park Community Centre, Volunteer Drivers provide safe and friendly transport to clients attending medical appointments and social programs throughout the metropolitan area using a company vehicle.
More than just a driver, you will play an important role in brightening someone's day through conversation, companionship, and reassurance during their journey.
About the Role
As a Volunteer Driver, you will:
Provide safe and reliable transport using a company vehicle
Assist clients travelling to and from medical appointments and social activities
Offer companionship and friendly conversation during trips
Help clients feel comfortable, supported, and connected to their community
Represent our organisation in a professional and caring manner
Volunteers will be provided with training and a volunteer polo shirt.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A current C Class Driver's Licence
A current National Police Clearance
Current First Aid Certification
A friendly, patient, and compassionate approach to working with older people and people living with disability
