Voyage Accounts Executive (1-year Contract)

Key Responsibilities

Review monthly trade-related accounts payable postings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and review monthly journal vouchers and accounting entries.
Prepare monthly financial schedules and supporting documentation.
Manage incoming accounts receivable funds, issue internal notifications and apply receipts accurately.
Prepare and input quarterly consolidation packages.
Review weekly short-term cash-flow projections and quarterly long-term cash-flow forecasts.
Perform monthly voyage accrual runs and ensure expenses are properly captured.
Coordinate the annual General and Administrative Expense budget.
Collate divisional budgets under a single reporting entity.
Prepare annual AIS reporting and support quarterly survey submissions.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities where required.
Support audits and provide relevant financial schedules and documentation.
Undertake ad hoc finance and accounting assignments as required.

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
Relevant experience in a full-set accounting, financial reporting or similar finance position.
Experience within the shipping, maritime or logistics industry would be advantageous.
Familiarity with voyage accounting or voyage accruals would be an added advantage.
Good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, consolidation and cash-flow forecasting.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Able to manage recurring monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines.
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.
Available to commit to a one-year contract.
