Voyage Optimization Analyst

You will help establish and deliver a weather-routing and voyage-optimization service. You will contribute to the optimization user interface, define service-delivery processes, test route-optimization outputs, and onboard vessels. You will analyze passages to ensure vessels follow routes optimized for distance, speed, and weather. You will coordinate with customers and vessels, clarify routing questions, share route insights, train colleagues on service delivery, and produce post-voyage reports on the impact of recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in building the optimization user interface and service delivery
• Set up service-delivery processes
• Test the Route Optimization tool to produce clear outputs for sea- and shore-based stakeholders
• Onboard vessels to the service and deliver the service to vessels
• Train team members on voyage-optimization service delivery
• Analyze passages and ensure vessels follow routes optimized for distance, speed, and weather
• Coordinate with customers and vessels, share route insights, and clarify optimization questions
• Generate post-voyage reports showing the impact of recommendations

Requirements

• Have 3+ years of experience in a similar voyage-optimization role
• Understand commercial performance, including the impact of weather and routes
• Have knowledge of IT to understand the product-development side
• Be fluent in spoken and written English
• Be able to train other people
