VP Data Engineer KDB Developer

You will ensure the stability and quality of real-time ingestion. You will build and support kdb Insights modules, packages, and pipelines; develop performant queries and functions for trading activities; and create SRE tools that proactively detect performance bottlenecks in continuously running AWS processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the stability and quality of real-time ingestion processes.
• Build and support kdb Insights or KDB-X modules, packages, and pipelines.
• Develop performant queries and functions for trading-desk activities.
• Build SRE tools for proactive detection of performance bottlenecks across q, Python, and Java processes running in AWS.

Requirements

• 5+ years of core kdb+/q development.
• Experience developing, deploying, and supporting large-scale kdb+ platforms.
• Hands-on experience with kdb Insights, including microservices, packages, pipelines, and user-defined analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes services in AWS.
• Development experience using Python data-processing libraries and PyKX.
