Position Overview

The Vice President, Finance & Capital Markets is responsible for overseeing liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, financing strategy, and capital markets activities across private equity and private credit investment portfolios. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the organization maintains appropriate liquidity, optimizes financing structures, manages leverage and financial risk, and supports investment deployment across evergreen, closed-end, and customized investment vehicles.

Working closely with Investment, Accounting, Middle Office, Operations, Risk, and Tax teams, the Vice President will develop forward-looking financial models, manage lender relationships, structure financing facilities, oversee foreign exchange (FX) hedging activities, and strengthen financial controls and reporting processes.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on private markets finance and treasury experience with strong analytical and modeling capabilities, commercial judgment, and an entrepreneurial mindset. This individual will be both a strategic partner and an active contributor to day-to-day financing and liquidity operations, with responsibility for building scalable processes and developing junior team members.

  • Build and maintain forward-looking financial models covering investment deployment, capital inflows and outflows, financing needs, liquidity projections, and portfolio cash flows.
  • Develop integrated forecasting models that incorporate capital calls, investor subscriptions and redemptions, distributions, borrowing activity, repayments, and expected investment realizations.
  • Forecast liquidity requirements across different investment structures, fund vintages, and portfolio scenarios.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing to assess the impact of changes in investment pacing, fundraising, redemptions, portfolio performance, and financing availability.
  • Evaluate the financial implications of alternative capital deployment and financing strategies.

  • Evaluate financing terms, borrowing bases, covenants, collateral requirements, pricing, maturity profiles, and other contractual provisions.
  • Analyze the costs and benefits of alternative financing structures to optimize liquidity, capital efficiency, and overall portfolio economics.
  • Coordinate financing transactions from initial evaluation through due diligence, documentation, closing, and ongoing administration.
  • Monitor facility utilization, borrowing availability, covenant compliance, repayment requirements, and refinancing needs.
  • Partner with legal, tax, investment, and risk teams to assess transaction structures and ensure financing arrangements align with fund objectives and governing documents.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financing flexibility, diversify funding sources, and strengthen lender relationships as the platform grows.

Portfolio Financing & Leverage Management

  • Monitor leverage and financing exposure across funds, investment vehicles, and underlying portfolios.

  • Coordinate with Investment and Risk teams to evaluate portfolio developments that may affect financing availability or collateral values.
  • Develop reporting that provides clear visibility into outstanding borrowings, unused commitments, financing costs, maturity schedules, and potential liquidity risks.
  • Recommend appropriate actions when financing arrangements approach limits or when changes in market conditions affect borrowing capacity.

Foreign Exchange & Financial Risk Management

  • Oversee foreign exchange exposure monitoring and hedging activities associated with investments, financing arrangements, and fund cash flows.
  • Partner with Investment, Accounting, Middle Office, Operations, Risk, and Tax teams to identify material currency exposures and evaluate hedging requirements.
