Position: VP, Finance Operations - perm

Reporting to the SVP, Finance

We are helping a reputable Malaysian Securities firm to hire.

Work location: CBD

Key Responsibilities:

•Leads and manages Finance Operations team

•Oversees the payment and receipt functions

•Reviews clients’ and brokers’ reconciliation

•Reviews Investment security tagging, update of last done price and investment reports

•Reviews daily entries for posting in accounting system

•Reviews payment, receipt, miscellaneous, and trade debtor reconciliation

•Reviews AML transactions

•Liaises with internal and external auditors

•Lead process improvements and drive efficiency within the team.

•Provide guidance and support to the Finance team

•Support ongoing transformation projects or new product launches

Pre-Requisites

•Degree in Accounting or Finance or related

•At least 8-10 years of experience in Accounting and Finance with good understanding of business processes in Finance operations.

•Prior experience in finance automation and digitalisation initiatives

•Good communication and ability to work collaboratively across different stakeholders’ groups and deliver timely results in a dynamic working environment

•Experience managing and leading a team

•A good understanding of end-to-end Finance Operations function in a securities broking industry is preferred

• Has a positive attitude, meticulous and a fast learner.
