Position Overview

Responsibility for the Human Resources Function of the firm. Responsible for smooth and profitable operations of the human

resources department. Provides consultation to management on strategic plans, compensation, benefits, staffing, training

and development, research, budget and labor relations. Supports the Company’s vision, mission, corporate values and

business strategic plans, goals, philosophy, principles, and brand values. Administers coordinates and evaluates the Human

Resources function. Implements policies and/or practices relating to the Human Resource administration of the company to

employer of choice climate. Crafts unique employee experiences to drive culture. Actively seeks ways to support employees

in providing a productive and results oriented work environment.

Essential Functions

These duties may not preclude performance of other jobs that may be assigned.

Responsibilities will vary with the demands of the department and projects.

Employee Relations

􀀀 Participates in Union negotiations and defends organization from inquires by Unions and Lawyers.

􀀀 Navigates major transition such as mergers, acquisitions, reorganization and downsizing.

􀀀 Act as organizational change strategist to manage growth by designing and implementing change initiatives to be

effective.

􀀀 Conducts employee opinion survey and manages results. Helps to amplify the employee voice.

􀀀 Formulates, revises and communicates progressive, legally compliant and innovative policies and/or procedures to be

followed by company personnel.

􀀀 Set goals to humanize the work experience and insures we are responsive to employee needs and actively seeks ways

to support employees in their need for work/life support.

􀀀 Determining and recommending employee relations practices necessary to establish and maintain positive employee

relations through listening, understanding, motivating, demonstrating empathy, problem solving and exchanging and

sharing communication.

􀀀 Protects interests of employees and the company in accordance with firm policies and governmental laws and

regulations. Involved in complaint procedure, recommendations for corrective action, reduction in force and termination of employment.

􀀀 Identifies legal requirements of Municipal, State and Federal legislation and government reporting affecting Human

Resources function (e.g., OSHA, EEO, ERISA, Wage and Hour). Monitors exposure of the company and provides

preparation of information requested or required for compliance.

􀀀 Coordinates and /or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation.

􀀀 Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, and/or CEO.

􀀀 Develop and support positive interpersonal relations and support advancing diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

􀀀 Responsible for competitive compensation, incentives, and benefits programs. Negotiates plan documents.

􀀀 Works closely with studio leaders to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.

􀀀 Participates on committees in meetings, and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities

􀀀 Facilitate and monitor the implementation of standardized human resource processes.

􀀀 Adhere to all internal policies and legal standards.

􀀀 Drives succession planning process.

􀀀 Help build a psychologically safe work environment and culture.

􀀀 Develop centers of excellence/expert business partners and organize around employee experience.

Selection and Placement

􀀀 Oversee an organizations recruitment, interview, selection and hiring processes.

􀀀 Support Corporate recruiter with methodology in identifying/attracting and developing talent including venders and

competitors to network candidates.

􀀀 Actively pursue interns and co-ops from targeted colleges.

􀀀 Assists with office wide recruiting at the Management level for general office and contracting temp services and

independent contractors or agencies as needed.

Oversees coordination of employment activities of general, active and authorized searches, assuring that properly

qualified employees are recruited and hired.

􀀀 Contacts various sources of labor supply to recruit; interviews job applicants and checks personal qualifications against

job requirements. Conducts initial screening and more comprehensive behavior-based interviewing. Investigates

references and handles details of employee offer at executive level.

􀀀 Supports wage and salary structure, bonuses, incentives, pay policies, performance appraisal programs, employee

benefit programs including relocation services. Monitors for effectiveness and cost containment.

􀀀 Understands a process of organizational planning that evaluates structure job design, and manpower forecasting

throughout the company.

􀀀 Conduct public relations strategy around Cincinnati Incorporated image for recruiting tool.

􀀀 Continue to build out HRIS systems. Work with team and outside resources to design, integrate and implement human

resource software systems for better efficiency.

Training and Development

􀀀 Establishes in-house training and mentoring programs through needs assessment across departments.

􀀀 Builds skill-based organization including upskilling HR with business focus, analytics, and digital literacy.

􀀀 Support continuous learning through firm wide employee development strategy.

􀀀 Provides necessary education and materials to employees such as workshops, forms, standardized reports, employee

manual.

􀀀 Conducts a continuing study of all Human Resources and Business wide policies, programs, and practices to keep

leadership informed of new developments in relations to established goals.

Total Compensation

􀀀 Manages compensation process including compiling plans for profit sharing, bonus, and incentive.

Plan, develops and leads the employee benefit program.

􀀀 Managing budget, overseeing other employees managing benefits, reviewing reports.

􀀀 Implement strategies and help design and develop benefits package and coordinate closely with Broker, Executives,

Union, Benefits specialist and staff to get feedback about programs.

􀀀 Focus on strategy for wellbeing and develop solions to solve rising medical cost.

􀀀 Negotiating with outside vendors or suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries and competitive package.

Communication

Schedules and attends town meetings, Board meetings and help develop agendas. Makes sure minutes are taken.

􀀀 Participates in Executive meetings.

􀀀 Attends weekly management meetings as assigned.

􀀀 Conducts weekly HR meetings.

􀀀 Attends BOARD, SHRM, GCHRA, ERA and other meetings, training, and seminars to stay abreast in the field of HR.

􀀀 Update antiquated systems (e.g... paper-based timesheets, grievance procedures)

􀀀 Work with IT to design, integrate and implement human resource software systems for better efficiency.

􀀀 Help with creative solutions to communicate with remote workers and all shifts in production.

􀀀 Daily contact with assigned personnel as needed.

􀀀 Contact with senior leadership or seek legal counsel regarding employee matters.

􀀀 Periodic contact with outside agencies, colleges and universities and community leaders.

Education

Required Degree Level:GraduateMinimum 10 years’ Human Resource experience

􀀀 Experience in top Human Resources position of a company with 100 or more employees.

􀀀 Bachelor’s degree or Masters in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or related field.

􀀀 Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) or (SHRM-SPC) certification preferred.

􀀀 Generalist background with broad knowledge of employment compensation, organizational planning, employee relations,

training and development, acquisitions, and mergers. Well-developed administration skills and management skills –

principles and people.

􀀀 Experience managing others.

􀀀 Must be a proven generalist with a minimum of 15 years gained through increasingly responsible management positions

with Human Resources experience.
