Corbins is seeking a VP of Operations – Texas Region to provide executive leadership and help shape the next phase of our growth across Texas. This is a high-impact role for a proven operations leader who can build and scale the infrastructure needed to deliver complex, large-scale data center programs while owning full P&L responsibility for the Texas electrical operations portfolio.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in mission-critical electrical construction, a strong track record of leading high-performing teams, and the strategic vision to grow Corbins’ presence in one of the fastest-growing data center markets in the country. This leader will play a key role in driving operational excellence, strengthening client partnerships, and creating scalable systems that support long-term regional growth.

Responsibilities

Regional Operational Leadership (Texas)

  • Lead all electrical operations across Texas, including active data center campuses and new market expansion
  • Build and scale operational infrastructure to support concurrent, large-scale data center builds
  • Standardize execution strategies across projects to ensure speed, consistency, and quality

Mission-Critical Project Execution

  • Provide executive oversight on hyperscale and colocation data center projects
  • Ensure aggressive schedules are met, including fast-track and phased turnover requirements
  • Drive consistency in installation of critical systems (MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, busway, and controls)
  • Partner with commissioning teams to ensure seamless turnover and uptime reliability

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Own full P&L responsibility for the Texas electrical operations portfolio
  • Oversee cost control, productivity tracking, and margin performance across all projects
  • Partner with preconstruction and estimating to align pricing with market conditions and execution strategy
  • Manage contractual risk, change order strategy, and procurement planning for long-lead equipment

Workforce Strategy & Labor Management

  • Develop and execute workforce strategies to meet Texas labor demands, including scaling field labor for peak builds
  • Build relationships with local labor sources, training programs, and staffing pipelines
  • Optimize crew mix, productivity, and supervision ratios across multiple concurrent projects

Strategic Growth & Client Engagement

  • Partner with business development to secure hyperscale and colocation clients in Texas
  • Serve as executive contact for key clients including owners, developers, and general contractors
  • Support pursuit strategies, interviews, and operational positioning for new awards

Supply Chain & Prefabrication

  • Drive procurement strategies for critical equipment (switchgear, generators, UPS systems, etc.)
  • Integrate prefabrication and modular construction approaches to improve schedule and efficiency
  • Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to mitigate supply chain risks

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Champion a zero-incident safety culture across all projects
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, client standards, and commissioning protocols
  • Drive quality control processes aligned with mission-critical expectations

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of project executives, directors, and field leadership
  • Establish clear accountability, KPIs, and performance expectations
  • Mentor future leaders and build depth within the organization to support growth

Qualifications

  • Ability to assume responsibility, interface, and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Positive and teachable attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to lead large operational teams and deliver results across multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong knowledge of Texas labor market dynamics and the regional construction environment

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • 15+ years of electrical construction experience, with significant focus on data centers or mission-critical environments
  • 7–10+ years in senior operational leadership roles with direct P&L responsibility
  • Proven experience delivering hyperscale or large colocation data center projects in Texas or similar high-growth markets
  • Extensive relevant construction experience will be considered in lieu of formal education
