VP of Sales

Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Florida. With deliveries 365-days a year, 7-days a week and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores and retail outlets.
As Mr. Greens continues to expand its footprint in Texas, we are seeking a dynamic sales leader to drive market growth, strengthen customer relationships, and lead high-performing sales teams throughout the region.
Summary:
The Vice President of Sales, Texas Region is responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy that drives profitable revenue growth throughout Texas. This executive leader will oversee regional sales operations, customer acquisition and retention efforts, key account management, market expansion initiatives, and sales team development.
The ideal candidate possesses deep experience in produce distribution, foodservice, wholesale distribution, or related industries and demonstrates a proven ability to lead large sales organizations, build strategic partnerships, and achieve ambitious revenue objectives. This position serves as a critical member of the leadership team and partners closely with Operations, Procurement, Transportation, Finance, and Executive Leadership to ensure exceptional customer service and sustainable growth.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue, margin, and market share objectives throughout Texas.
- Lead, mentor, and develop regional sales directors, managers, and account executives to maximize individual and team performance.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with company sales goals.
- Identify new business opportunities and market segments to expand Mr. Greens' customer base.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers, strategic accounts, and industry partners.
- Collaborate with Procurement and Operations teams to align product availability, pricing strategies, and customer expectations.
- Review market trends, competitive activity, customer needs, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure consistent execution of sales processes, customer service standards, and account management practices across the region.
- Lead contract negotiations and pricing strategies for major accounts while maintaining profitability objectives.
- Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and sales projections for the Texas region.
- Partner with Human Resources on recruiting, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
- Drive a culture of accountability, customer focus, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain regular travel throughout Texas to support customers, sales teams, and market development activities.
- Present business updates, growth strategies, and performance results to executive leadership.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain Management, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience managing multi-location or regional sales organizations.
- Experience within produce distribution, foodservice distribution, wholesale distribution, agribusiness, or related industries strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success achieving aggressive revenue growth and profitability targets.
- Proven experience managing large customer portfolios and strategic accounts.
