VP of Sales

Job Description

The Vice President of Sales will oversee the company’s global sales organization, strategic planning, customer acquisition, and account growth initiatives. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, cross-functional collaboration, and expertise in enterprise sales within AI/ML, semiconductor, embedded systems, video, and industrial technology domains.

The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience managing complex enterprise accounts, building scalable sales processes, driving multimillion-dollar revenue opportunities, and mentoring high-performing sales teams across multiple geographies.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company’s global sales strategy aligned with business objectives and revenue goals.
  • Lead sales planning, forecasting, pipeline management, and business growth initiatives.
  • Drive customer acquisition strategies and market expansion across North America, Europe, APAC, and other strategic regions.
  • Partner with executive leadership, including the CEO, CRO, and Business Unit Heads, to define and execute go-to-market strategies.
  • Identify emerging market trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities to strengthen market positioning.

Revenue & Business Growth

  • Own and achieve annual bookings, revenue, and pipeline growth targets.
  • Drive growth across strategic and self-managed enterprise accounts.
  • Lead complex deal negotiations and oversee the successful closure of high-value enterprise opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong executive relationships with key customers, stakeholders, influencers, and decision-makers.
  • Expand business opportunities across Semiconductor, Automotive, Industry Automation, Media, and Enterprise AI/ML sectors.

Sales Leadership & Team Management

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global sales organization.
  • Establish performance goals, KPIs, and accountability frameworks for the sales team.
  • Coach sales leaders and account managers on strategic selling, account penetration, and customer engagement.
  • Foster a collaborative, results-oriented, and customer-centric sales culture.
  • Drive alignment between sales, marketing, sales operations, and business units.

Key Account Management

  • Oversee strategic account planning and customer relationship management.
  • Ensure deep organizational reach within customer accounts, including executive leadership, R&D, business, and procurement teams.
  • Maintain executive-level organizational mapping for strategic accounts exceeding USD 100K in annualized revenue.
  • Conduct periodic business reviews with key customers to strengthen partnerships and identify growth opportunities.
  • Manage customer expectations, escalations, and issue resolution in collaboration with business units and executive leadership.

Operational Excellence & CRM Governance

  • Lead sales forecasting and reporting on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue pipelines.
  • Ensure CRM accuracy, opportunity tracking, deal progression, and customer engagement visibility.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Operations to optimize sales processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics and implement corrective actions to improve bookings and conversion rates.
  • Drive continuous improvement in sales effectiveness, pipeline quality, and customer engagement processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Business Unit Heads and product teams to develop customer-focused solutions and sales enablement materials.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to support market penetration and demand generation initiatives.
  • Support product positioning, solution messaging, and strategic partnerships.
  • Facilitate communication between customers and internal engineering, delivery, and leadership teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of enterprise software/services sales experience, with at least 5+ years in senior sales leadership roles.
  • Strong domain expertise in AI/ML, embedded systems, semiconductor, video technologies, sensor engineering, or enterprise technology solutions.
  • Proven track record of driving multimillion-dollar revenue growth and closing enterprise deals exceeding USD 500K.
  • Experience managing international sales across US, Europe, and APAC markets.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and scaling high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of complex enterprise sales cycles and strategic account management.
  • Experience working with Semiconductor, Automotive, Industrial Automation, and Media industries.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic planning capabilities.
