# VP – Product # Job Summary The VP – Product will lead the company’s product portfolio to scale AI-first, large-scale financial distribution across Bharat. This leadership role involves managing multiple products spanning loans, insurance, and investments, driving AI-powered innovation, owning UI/UX, and building a high-performing product and design team. The role reports to the Chief Product & Technology Officer. ## Responsibilities - Lead and scale a portfolio of products for advisors, customers, and partners, including loans, insurance, and investments; launch new products from concept to market. - Define portfolio strategy balancing growth, profitability, and risk in collaboration with CEO, CPTO, CFO, and business and risk leaders. - Design AI-first products leveraging advisor copilots, personalized recommendations, vernacular and conversational interfaces, and automated servicing. - Collaborate with the Chief AI Officer to establish AI quality standards, evaluation metrics, guardrails, and responsible AI use in a regulated environment. - Build and grow the product and design teams by hiring senior product managers, design leaders, and managers; establish career paths, levels, and hiring standards. - Own UI/UX across all products, develop a design system and research practice tailored for Bharat users, focusing on vernacular languages, low-bandwidth environments, and joint advisor-customer usage. - Scale distribution into additional towns and increase advisor and customer engagement without compromising trust or unit economics. - Manage advisor and customer funnels end-to-end, set North Star metrics, and institutionalize experimentation. - Partner with Engineering on onboarding/KYC, decisioning, partner APIs, and servicing while ensuring compliance with RBI digital lending norms and the Data Protection and Privacy Act (DPDP). ## Qualifications - Minimum 12 years of experience, including at least 8 years in consumer digital product management and 4 years leading product management teams. - Proven track record of building and scaling product and design teams, including hiring senior PMs and managers. - Experience managing a portfolio of products with zero-to-one launches and scaling digital fintech products with measurable success metrics. - Demonstrated ability to ship machine learning (ML) or generative AI-powered products to real users and leverage AI for operational efficiency. - Experience building products for large, diverse Indian audiences, ideally including Bharat. - Strong design sensibility, data fluency (including SQL and product analytics), sound unit economics judgment, and excellent communication skills up to board level. ## Preferred Skills - Background in lending, credit, insurance, or investment products. - Experience with assisted or agent-led distribution models. - Familiarity with marketplaces and RBI-regulated financial environments. ## Experience - 12+ years overall professional experience. - 8+ years in consumer digital product management. - 4+ years in leadership roles managing product management teams. ## Environment - Location: Bengaluru, India. - Full-time leadership role within the company’s executive team. - Collaborative work environment with direct access to founders and senior leadership. - Focus on Bharat-scale financial distribution with a mix of field engagement and office-based strategic planning. ## Growth Opportunities - Leadership role in a profitable fintech company on the path to IPO. - Opportunity to shape and grow the product and design organization. - Direct influence on the company’s AI-first product strategy and expansion across India’s underserved markets. ##
