Role Overview

Lead and mature the organization’s overall Data Governance function within financial services. This position focuses on building robust data quality standards, establishing end-to-end data stewardship, and ensuring data assets comply with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Framework & Compliance Execution: Execute integrated data and AI governance policies to guarantee data platforms operate securely, ethically, and in full compliance.

  
  

• Data Lifecycle Management: Oversee operational data management across core areas including data ownership, metadata, lineage, data classification, retention, master data, and issue resolution.

  
  

• Control & Monitoring: Implement Governance-by-Design, establish data quality scorecards, and enhance Critical Data Elements (CDE) capabilities using automation.

  
  

• Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Mentor team members, facilitate key governance forums, and partner with senior leadership and product teams to drive data literacy.

  
  

Key Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Management, or related field.

  
  

• Experience: 6–8+ years in Data Governance/Management within banking or Fintech, including team management experience (AI governance exposure is a plus).

  
  

• Core Skills: Strong background in data quality, data privacy, stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and fluent trilingual communication (English, Cantonese, Mandarin).

Role Overview

Drive the strategic direction and operational controls for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning across the institution. This role ensures all AI technologies—including Generative AI, predictive models, and automated agents—are deployed responsibly, transparently, and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Policy & Strategy: Design and update AI governance policies, operating models, and strategy roadmaps aligned with regulatory expectations and corporate risk appetite.

  
  

• Lifecycle Oversight & Risk Assessment: Manage AI use case evaluations, approvals, and ongoing monitoring covering model risk, data privacy, cybersecurity, and third-party vendor risks.

  
  

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Risk, Legal, Compliance, Cyber Security, and IT teams to resolve complex AI governance issues and maintain audit-ready documentation.

  
  

• Team Leadership & Enablement: Lead and coach the team, track key AI maturity metrics, and champion Responsible AI training across the bank.

  
  

Key Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, Information Management, or related field.

  
  

• Experience: 6–8+ years in AI or Data Governance in financial services or Fintech, with leadership experience.

  
  

• Core Skills: Specialized expertise in AI/Generative AI risk and governance, cross-departmental stakeholder management, and trilingual fluency (English, Cantonese, Mandarin).
