- Partnership as an equal with Product Management to shape vision, roadmap, and priorities
- Experience leading engineering for enterprise SaaS products at significant scale
- Execution with rigor delivering production-grade systems balancing speed with security, privacy, and compliance
- Bias for action and thriving in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with focus on measurable business impact
- Deep fluency in modern software engineering including cloud-native architecture, platform engineering, microservices and API-first design, DevOps, data platforms, and AI/ML
- Technical credibility to earn trust of senior engineers engaging in key architecture and technical decisions
- Championing AI-native ways of working with a track record of AI adoption and large-scale technology modernization
- Track record of operational excellence and reliability engineering including SLOs, incident management, quality, security across always-on services

- Hiring, coaching, and developing senior engineering leaders and experts
