【外商半導體】SW Application Engineer (新竹/高雄 C++)

【Key Responsibilities】

• Software Development & Sustaining (50%): Design, develop, test, and maintain code fixes, enhancements, and custom features directly in the product codebase.

• Customer Escalation Management (30%): Serve as the first SW engineering contact for field issues, diagnose defects, prevent hard downs, provide containment/recovery plans, and escalate to global teams when necessary.

• Installation & Deployment Support (10%): Support software installation, upgrades, first-machine commissioning, and production ramp activities at customer sites.

• Knowledge Management & Regional Support (10%): Create troubleshooting guides and SOPs; collaborate seamlessly across regional SW engineering teams (Taiwan, US, Korea, Malaysia, Europe).

【Required Qualifications】

• Core Programming: Expert C/C++ skills with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and design patterns; strong Windows desktop development (Visual Studio), with C# preferred for tooling/UI.

• System & Integration: Experience with multithreaded, event-driven software and hardware integration using Windows APIs, SDKs, or communication libraries.

• Dev Workflow & Troubleshooting: Proficient in Git collaborative workflows (code reviews, branching), with a demonstrated ability to perform root-cause analysis (RCA) and field issue resolution.

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, EE, Software Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment, factory automation, or industrial software systems.

• Communication: Strong English written and verbal communication skills for presenting and collaborating with international stakeholders.
