Walk-in || QA Test Lead (IT)

About the role:

Candidate must possess strong expertise in software testing methodologies, test design techniques, defect management, and end-to-end testing processes. The candidate should be capable of independently handling QA activities, ensuring product quality, and working collaboratively with the development and QA teams.

Role & responsibilities:

• Independently plan, design, execute, and manage comprehensive manual testing activities.
• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation to identify test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, exploratory, compatibility, and end-to-end testing.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, test reports, and other QA documentation.
• Identify, document, track, prioritize, and verify defects using defect management tools.
• Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with developers to resolve reported issues.
• Validate application functionality, data accuracy, business workflows, and overall system performance.
• Ensure adequate test coverage and adherence to established QA standards and procedures.
• Monitor, review, and validate the testing activities and deliverables of junior QA testers.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and constructive feedback to junior team members.
• Identify gaps in testing processes and recommend improvements to enhance team productivity.
• Review test cases prepared by junior testers and ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, test reviews, and release validation activities.
• Support production releases, post-deployment validation, and troubleshooting when required.
• Maintain clear communication regarding testing progress, risks, defects, and release readiness.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Mandatory 45 years of relevant experience in Manual Testing.
• Hands on experience in Automation Testing preferred.
• Immediate joiners preferred.
• Strong expertise in Manual Testing methodologies, processes, and techniques.
• Excellent knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
• Proven experience in test planning, test case design, execution, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience in requirement analysis and identifying test scenarios for complex business workflows.
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Ability to independently manage QA activities and deliver testing outcomes with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to software quality.
• Ability to review, validate, and guide the testing work of junior QA testers.
• Strong communication, documentation, and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
