Ward Manager (Paediatrics) (For serving HA staff only)

Pay
HK$66,073 to HK$97,787 (HMPS Pt 1 to 9) per month including Monthly Allowance
An Additional Managerial Responsibility Allowance of HK$1,500 per month
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage day-to-day operation of a ward/unit.
2. Supervise ward/unit staff on safe delivery of patient care.
3. Manage budget to ensure adequate equipment and consumables for smooth running of the ward/unit.
4. Monitor quality of patient care.
5. Develop annual plan for service development of ward/unit.
6. Motivate and coach staff for effective patient care delivery and professional development.
7. Facilitate clinical training for learners and continuing education for nurses.
8. Initiate quality improvement activities.
9. Participate in the development of professional nursing practice.
Entry Requirements
- Holder of a valid Registered Nurse practicing certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong.
- Qualification in advanced nursing specialty*.
- A degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- 5 years or more post-registration experience in healthcare of which at least 3 years is in the related specialty and 2 years is in a management role.
*Qualification in advanced nursing specialty refers to recognized post-registration certificate,or post-graduate certificate/diploma course in nursing specialty, or Master in nursing# or related discipline with considerable coverage on a relevant nursing specialty.

Preferred Attributes / Exposure
- Demonstrated competency and leadership of a WM/UM.
- Contribution to professional development including research/evidence-based practice, teaching and training.
- Master degree in nursing or related discipline.
- Qualification in management*.
