About the role:
The Warehouse Administrative Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all warehouse administrative functions while providing leadership and support to warehouse administrative staff. This position ensures accurate inventory transactions, shipping and receiving documentation, reporting, data entry, customer service, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The Warehouse Administrative Lead serves as the primary point of contact for administrative warehouse operations and works closely with warehouse, transportation, customer service, and supply chain teams to ensure efficient and accurate operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and mentor warehouse administrative team members.
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry of warehouse transactions.
- Lead safety meeting conversations
- Provide support to warehouse supervisor and manager
- Coordinate and verify shipping and receiving documentation.
- Ensure Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, manifests, and other transportation documents are completed accurately.
- Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments regarding shipment status and issues.
- Support outbound and inbound scheduling activities.
- Maintain records and documentation required for audits and compliance standards.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries related to inventory, orders, and shipping information.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors, customer service teams, and management to resolve operational issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and administrative process enhancements.

Education/Certification
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to do basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication)
- Must have Forklift Operator certification
- Ability to obtain and maintain HAZMAT certification
Skills
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse administration, logistics, inventory control, or distribution experience.
- Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and Excel.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prepare reports and analyze operational data.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in an office and warehouse environment.
Hourly Range: $20.00 - $25.00/hour
