Job Summary

The Warehouse Assistant Manager supports in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, proper storage, timely order fulfilment, and a safe and organised working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching goods.

  • Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff and allocate daily work duties.

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock records.

  • Conduct regular stock checks and assist with stocktaking and reconciliation.

  • Ensure goods are properly labelled, stored and handled to prevent damage or loss.

  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with suppliers, customers, transporters and internal departments.

  • Check delivery orders, packing lists and other warehouse documentation for accuracy.

  • Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised and complies with company safety procedures.

  • Monitor loading and unloading activities and ensure proper handling of goods.

  • Train and guide warehouse staff on proper work procedures and safety practices.

  • Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, operational issues and other irregularities to management.

  • Assist with warehouse manpower planning, scheduling and daily operations.

  • Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Relevant warehouse or logistics experience.

  • Previous supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.

  • Good knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.

  • Able to communicate effectively and work well with a team.

  • Responsible, organised and able to work independently.

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel or warehouse/inventory systems.

  • Forklift or relevant equipment-handling experience will be an advantage.
