Warehouse Assistant

We are a major importer, exporter and wholesaler of FMCG and we are urgently in need of a Warehouse Assistant.

Job Scope / Responsibilities

• Perform daily warehouse operations including picking, packing, receiving and issuing of goods.
• Pick goods accurately according to Delivery Orders, pick lists or instructions from the supervisor.
• Receive incoming goods and assist in checking quantity, condition and product details against delivery documents.
• Load and unload goods safely from delivery vehicles.
• Arrange and store goods neatly in their designated warehouse locations.
• Assist with stock counting, inventory checks and stock movement.
• Report any shortages, excesses, damaged goods, discrepancies or expired/near-expiry products to the supervisor.
• Regular manual heavy lifting and stacking is expected.
• Ensure proper rotation and arrangement of stocks according to company procedures, where applicable.
• Maintain good warehouse housekeeping, cleanliness and organisation at all times.
• Ensure aisles, access ways, fire exits and working areas are kept clear and safe.
• Handle warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, trolleys and other material-handling equipment safely, where authorised.
• Follow all company Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements and warehouse SOPs.
• Assist with loading goods for delivery and ensure goods are properly checked before being handed over to the delivery team.
• Assist with stock take and other inventory-related activities.
• Take proper care of company property, equipment and goods.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor or management

Job Requirements

• Minimum Primary/Secondary School education or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse, logistics experience a must
• Physically fit and comfortable performing manual work, including lifting and moving cartons.
• Able to read and understand Chinese product names on delivery orders, labels and warehouse instructions.
• Able to follow instructions and work responsibly with minimal supervision.
• Good attention to detail, especially when picking and checking quantities.
• Responsible, punctual, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Good team player with a positive work attitude.
• Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Must comply with company safety rules, including the proper use of safety shoes and other required PPE.
• 5.5 day work week
