Position Opportunity
Alamance Foods is looking for a Shipping Clerk to join our team. The Shipping Clerk will play a crucial role in our operations, handling various tasks including tracking shipments, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess basic computer skills, be proficient in using Microsoft Teams, and have experience with Bills of Lading (BOL).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Track and log all incoming and outgoing shipments using warehouse software and Bills of Lading (BOL).
- Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, and recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Collaborate and communicate with other departments to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- Utilize Microsoft Teams for effective communication and coordination within the team.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment by following all safety procedures and regulations.
- Assist in physical inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Address any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Understand and interpret production schedules, specifically for item changeovers.
- Provide excellent customer service to drivers and visitors.
- Responsible for knowing and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
