Job Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and shipping products and materials. This role ensures inventory accuracy, prepares outgoing shipments, maintains records, and follows company safety procedures to support efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
  • Unload, sort, label, and store incoming materials in designated locations.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
  • Create shipping labels and process shipments using shipping software.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update warehouse management systems.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (if certified).
  • Conduct routine inventory counts and assist with cycle counts.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with drivers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Warehouse billing and storage.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and OSHA safety guidelines.
  
  

Qualifications

• • Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse management systems.
  • Ability to read shipping documents, packing slips, and purchase orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.

In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is between $30.00/hour and $31.00/hour Day, $35.00 and $36.00/hour Night. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
