Warehouse Coordinator

Fort Lauderdale Warehouse Worker brief job description: 8 am – 4:30 pm

Employee should be alert, ambitious, hard-working, detail oriented, and able to follow instructions. Should have prior experience working in a warehouse environment.

General Responsibilities for Warehouse Worker

• Organize inventory within the warehouse by properly storing material in designated areas
• Maintain accurate records of materials delivered or shipped and provide accurate representation of all goods shipped and received
• Verify all incoming shipments for accuracy by comparing purchase order, invoices, and handling transloads and supporting the mom-and-pops
• Monitor and report any missing or lost inventory to management or buyers

Physical Abilities

• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks (professional forklift certification is strongly preferred)
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to work independently and safely
• Interpersonal skills are essential

Technical Skills

• Must be detail oriented with ability to receive and document all materials delivered to the warehouse
• Ability to efficiently communicate via email utilizing Microsoft Outlook
• Accurately maintain company database
• Experience with Microsoft based software
• Typing and record keeping skills necessary to provide accurate information for managers, buyers, and other office or ship personnel regarding warehouse inventory
• Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks
• Customer Service mentality is beneficial
