WHO IS LEE DOUGLAS INTERIORS
Lee Douglas is an interior design firm specializing in space planning and drafting, construction management, including new builds and remodels, offering building products such as lighting and flooring as well as final styling. In addition to our design specialty, we have two types of retail stores. Lee Douglas Interiors, that offers furniture, artwork, and accessories, and our sister store, The Loft, which is a themed store that sells finishing touches for every room in the house.
POSTION OBJECTIVE
The Warehouse receiver’s responsibilities include loading and unloading merchandise, inspecting merchandise, tagging stock merchandise, and performing general warehouse duties and errands. To be successful in this role, you should be well-organized, have great time management, and a passion for noticing the details.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a high-school graduate
- Valid driver’s license and clean MVR (5 years)
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment safely (no forklift)
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with delivery, receiving, and installing artwork is preferred
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring they match the accompanying documentation and meet quality standards.
- Verify quantities, check for damages or discrepancies, and report any issues.
- Accurate labelling, tagging, and recording received items.
- Collaborate with warehouse team to organize and store inventory in designated locations, optimizing space and accessibility.
- Conduct periodic audits as assigned by your manager.
- Maintain warehouse and vehicle cleanliness and upkeep, reporting any issues.
- Assist in the preparation of outgoing deliveries or shipments, including proper documentation for store-to-store inventory transfers.
- Provide excellent customer service on deliveries and installations.
- Assist with furniture assembly when necessary.
- Must timely report to work as scheduled by LDI management.
