Warehouse Driver - 2nd Shift

SUMMARY
Drives tractor/trailer combination to transport and deliver products and materials between the main brewery and offsite warehouse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Drives truck to destination. Complies with all safe operating instructions.
  • Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and fills out report indicating truck condition
  • Reports anything that does not pass inspection or is a safety hazard to shift lead, management, and maintenance.
  • Maintains driver log according to regulations
  • Operates forklift or uses hand truck to move, unload, load, stack or unstack materials or product. Complies with all safe operating instructions.
  • Assists in loading and unloading trailers
  • Uses WMS handheld and/or Obeer to transfer beer and other materials to/from the brewery.
  • Monitors SAP and WMS systems for inventory transfer requests
  • Ensures all departments have necessary materials that have been requested from warehouse to brewery or brewery to warehouse. Communicates with other departments regarding material requests if necessary.
  • Maintains method of inventory rotation (first IN/first OUT).
  • Cleans/sweeps tractor cab interior and trailer floor as needed
  • Performs cleaning duties in relation to Good Brewery Practices (GBP) and the warehouse Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS)
  • Will periodically be asked to backfill other duties of Shipping and Receiving Clerk
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Class CDL-A License is required.
  • Shipping and Receiving experience is a plus.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Must be an enthusiastic team player.
  • Experience using an inventory software system such as SAP is a plus.
  • Experience using a hand held scanner is a plus.
  • Must have a good safety record.
  • Candidates need to be able to lift up to 100 pounds, be able to twist and turn, be able to reach over your shoulders, and work in standing/walking/crouching position at a steady pace.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
