Position Summary

BWT Logistics is seeking experienced and safety-conscious Warehouse Forklift Operators to join our Fort Wayne, Indiana team. This position is responsible for operating a sit-down forklift to safely load, unload, move, and store materials throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have prior forklift experience, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to transport, load, unload, and store materials within the warehouse.
• Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
• Store and organize pallets in designated warehouse locations.
• Utilize scan guns and tablets to complete inventory transactions and warehouse documentation.
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and report discrepancies.
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and promptly report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the warehouse.
• Follow inventory control procedures and accurately update inventory records.
• Assist with order fulfillment and material movement to support operational needs.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse team members to ensure productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift required.
• Experience working in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
• Experience using RF scanners, scan guns, or warehouse management technology preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and handle warehouse materials.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

PPE Requirements

• Steel-toe boots are required.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
• Full-Time Position

Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage after 90 days.

Time Off: Paid holidays and PTO available after 90 days.

PPE: Steel-toe boots required; additional PPE provided by BWT Logistics.

Day Shift Opportunities Available

1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

2nd Shift: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM
