What started decades ago as a start-up retail, storefront print shop, is now an at-scale manufacturing plant that produces over a million books per year along with other print-related materials.

THE OPPORTUNITY

You embrace a fast-paced work environment and will bring a passion for further accelerating our 30% annual growth rate. You will assist the JPS warehouse and fulfillment center in ensuring consistency and accuracy.

You will be empowered (and expected) to recommend new ideas and perspectives that allow us to continue to evolve our approach to acquiring and servicing customer accounts.

You will be responsible for assisting in the everyday operation of the JPS warehouse and fulfillment center. Our geographic edge allows our fulfillment team to ground ship to 96% of the population in 3 days or less. We are committed to shipping on Day Zero for customers who utilize our fulfillment center to store inventory.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Receives direction from Plant Manager, carries out instructions based on given directive.

  • Coordinate and perform routine cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy, research discrepancies, and ensure necessary adjustments are completed.

  • Oversee inventory management activities, including receiving, returns processing, product movement, and inventory stored at off-site facilities.

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transferred to and from off-site storage locations.

  • Prepare and maintain the skid storage report, ensuring pallet quantities and storage locations remain current and accurate.

  • Communicate professionally and promptly with customers, vendors, carriers, and internal departments by email and telephone.

  • Respond to inventory questions, research issues, and provide timely updates through resolution.

  • Escalate inventory discrepancies, receiving issues, and operational concerns to warehouse management as needed.

  • Work alongside – and with – the team, stepping in as needed to ensure maximum productivity.

  • Required to be certified in operating all material handling equipment as needed.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS NEEDED

  • Knowledge of shipping systems and platforms (UPS/FedEx)

  • Proficiency in inventory-related mathematics, numerical accuracy, and logical problem-solving, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Knowledge of inventory tracking systems

  • Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success

  • Results driven and detail oriented

  • Time Management: maintaining momentum, keeping employees on task to meet goals and deadlines

  • Communications: expresses ideas and thoughts clearly and with tact and diplomacy.

  • Forklift certification

  • Bilingual is preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical ability and stamina sufficient to maintain continuous physical effort throughout shift. This includes frequent lifting, standing, stooping, bending, reaching and twisting. Physical strength and ability sufficient to perform manual labor for extended periods of time. Manual labor is defined as exerting force sufficient to lift up to 50 lbs.
