Warehouse Label Coordinator (Afternoon Shift)

The afternoon shift Label Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day labelling of East Penn products while working alongside warehouse employees to ensure accurate and efficient product identification. This role is responsible for maintaining label inventory, printing and distributing labels, communicating updates to label guides, and supporting warehouse operations as required.

The Label Coordinator contributes directly to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by ensuring products are accurately labelled and available for shipment while maintaining compliance with all company and provincial health and safety standards.

Please note that this role supports the afternoon warehouse shift, and hours of work are from 3pm to 11:30pm Monday through Friday.

Duties & Responsibilities

Printing and preparing labels on a daily basis to support operational requirements
Maintaining accurate label inventory levels and coordinating replenishment as required
Working closely with Master Data Management and IT teams to understand and communicate label guide updates
Fulfilling East Penn Manufacturing and Branch Network label orders on a monthly and as-needed basis
Assisting with plaquing (label application) activities when required
Actively participating in good housekeeping practices and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
Ensuring labelling equipment is in good operating condition and reporting issues promptly
Following all company policies, procedures, and provincial regulations, including Health & Safety requirements, WHMIS, TDG, and safe equipment operation
Identifying, reporting, and escalating potential safety concerns and workplace hazards
Supporting inventory count activities, including physical inventories and cycle counts
Assisting with onboarding and training of new or less experienced team members
Providing support to other warehouse and product maintenance functions when operationally required
Contributing to a positive team environment through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a strong customer service focus
Maintaining a professional appearance and company uniform in accordance with company standards

Experience, Skills & Competencies

2+ years of experience in a similar role within a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel considered an asset
Ability to learn and adapt to new computer systems and applications
Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and identify practical solutions
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Customer-focused approach with a sense of urgency when responding to internal and external customer requests
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines during peak periods
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move loads up to 50 lbs is a requirement of this role
Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative warehouse environment
Forklift certification considered an asset

Other Considerations:

This role supports East Penn Canada’s afternoon shift, and employees must be able to work from 3pm to 11:30pm Monday to Friday
Background checks including criminal checks and employment references will be required as a condition of employment
Hiring range for this role is estimated at $22.00-24.00 hourly (actual salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data)
