Warehouse Lead

Job Description/Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Lead, you'll help lead daily warehouse operations to ensure products are received, stored, picked, and shipped safely and accurately. You'll provide hands-on support with forklift operations, order picking, truck loading, inventory control, and quality checks while helping the team meet daily operational goals. This role is a great fit for an experienced warehouse professional who can lead by example, solve problems, and keep a fast-paced operation organized and running efficiently.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and support daily warehouse activities including order picking, finished goods receiving, forklift operations, inventory movement, and truck loading.
  • Verify product counts and inventory transfers between production and the warehouse while maintaining accurate inventory records, including customs-bonded inventory.
  • Perform quality and quantity checks on outgoing products and ensure orders are accurately prepared and loaded for shipment.
  • Coordinate incoming stock and warehouse activities while communicating with production, shipping, and other teams to resolve discrepancies and keep operations moving.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment while supporting forklift safety, training, continuous improvement, and day-to-day guidance of warehouse team members.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics experience, including forklift operation.
  • Previous experience providing direction, training, or day-to-day leadership to warehouse employees.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with warehouse inventory systems, WMS, ERP systems, shipping and receiving, or inventory control.
  • Experience in food, beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or alcohol beverage manufacturing or distribution.
  • Familiarity with forklift safety programs, customs-bonded warehouse operations, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or other continuous improvement practices.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, kneel, squat, reach, push, pull, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment in a warehouse environment with exposure to loud noise, varying temperatures, and wet or humid conditions.
