Location: We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Lead Hand for the BC Place Stadium.
Sodexo Live! is the Official Supplier of Food and Beverage Services to BC Place Stadium. BC Place is a multi-purpose stadium in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Located at the north side of False Creek, it is owned and operated by the BC Pavilion Corporation, a Crown corporation of the province. Home to BC Lions, Vancouver White Caps, Concerts and Live events, the facility hosts welcomes hundreds of thousands of fans each year, while generating significant economic activity for the Province.
Job Overview:
This position is responsible for supporting the Warehouse Manager with receiving orders, shipping returns, managing the stock workers responsible for receiving orders, keeping product organized, and tracking product entering the building.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure the control procedures are being used for cataloging, inventory control, bulk storage and distribution of materials, equipment and supplies and assist in maintain this supply system.
- Monitor concession stand stock levels of paper goods, beverages, and food items to keep stock levels up to set pars.
- When requested, supervise warehouse workers in their daily duties.
- Receive, store and distribute supplies and equipment in large, centralized warehousing operations.
- Use of storage systems, policies and procedures to ensure maximum use and efficiency of space and storage areas in warehousing operations.
- Knowledge of warehouse control systems, manual or automated.
- Submit reports of damage, outdated stock or supplies, over and under shipments, return of goods to vendors, ect.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
- Other duties assigned by the warehouse manager.
Qualifications/Skills:
Required:
- High School Diploma
- Three years experience in the receipt, storage or distribution of food and beverage, supplies or equipment.
- Two years supervisory level experience in entertainment or convention center venues.
- Ability to promote and participate in a team environment.
- Ability to understand written and oral direction and communicate the same with others.
- Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral.

- While performing the duties of this job, an employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, use hands to finger, handle or feel with hands and arms and taste or smell.
- The employee is required to bend stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and must have the ability to reach overhead, above the shoulders.

- Ability to physically walk approximately one-fourth of a mile and the circumference of the unit several times a day.
- Employee must be able to perform repetitive motions.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing duties of the job, the associate is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat.
- Employee must be able to work in cold environment -such as working in walk-in refrigerators.
- Employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold.
- Employee must have ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Employee must be able to operate in an environment with moderate to high noise levels.
- Other lifting or physical requirements as added from time to time, or as required, performing the essential functions of this job.
