The Opportunity

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, coordinating warehouse personnel, and ensuring accurate movement, storage, and shipment of materials. This role requires hands-on experience using RF scanner guns, warehouse management systems (WMS), and computer-based inventory transactions to maintain inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. This role reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

What you will do?

  • Oversee and direct other warehouse associates in their day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Operate RF scanner guns to perform receiving, inventory transfers, picking, cycle counts, and shipping transactions.
  • Maintain organized warehouse and identify and address all safety hazards within the work area; ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for employees and visitors.
  • Train new warehouse associates in material handling, identification, and system transactions.
  • Assist in areas like shipping and receiving, unload trucks with forklift or crane, check in orders, match purchase orders.
  • Accurately stock material physically and systematically into proper warehouse staging locations.
  • Document purchase orders, part numbers, and projects on all incoming/ outgoing items.
  • Communicates with cross functional teams to drive process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist team members in recording labor to time sheets into company ERP system.
  • Communicate with production on inventory/material needed for each job.
  • Prepare all ship loose items with proper documentation for shipments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of warehouse experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Proven experience using RF scanner guns/barcode scanning equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory control processes.
  • Experience completing computer-based inventory transactions, including receiving, put-away, transfers, cycle counts, and shipping confirmations.
  • Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, packing slips, and inventory reports.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
