What You'll Own
As a warehouse lead, you'll keep NICOR's distribution moving so customers receive dependable lighting products on time-work that helps make a difference through reliable service and safety-first execution. You will:
- Coordinate daily shipping and receiving flow, including staging, loading, and unloading
- Provide hands-on direction to the team, balancing workflow and staffing needs
- Train, onboard, and coach associates; reinforce accountability and performance standards
- Track productivity and quality, enter data, and produce daily metrics reports
- Promote safe material handling and support continuous improvement efforts
- Identify opportunities for process improvement.
Required qualifications:
- 3–5 years of warehouse experience, including truck loading/unloading and organization
- Proficiency on sit-down and Reach forklift equipment
- Ability to lift/push/move up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
- Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills

Your Day on the Floor
Your day starts onsite in Albuquerque with a quick review of priorities and the warehouse plan for the shift. You'll walk the floor to confirm staging is ready, check that shipping paperwork and labels are accurate, and keep communication tight as inbound and outbound activity changes. Throughout the day you'll stay visible-answering questions, removing roadblocks, and stepping in where needed to keep work moving smoothly. You'll also capture updates for daily metrics, confirm inventory is organized for fast retrieval, and ensure the team has what they need to execute safely. By late afternoon, you'll verify end-of-day status, align on next-day needs, and leave the operation set up for consistent shipping and receiving performance.
