Warehouse Management System Tech
I.POSITION OBJECTIVE
To provide technical support for the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and related inventory control processes by performing system testing, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordinating necessary technical support. The position develops and maintains established system procedures, provides end-user training and support, facilitates data feeds to supplemental systems, and communicates system updates and upgrades. The position also coordinates assigned digitization initiatives and develops and maintains inventory control resources on the Company Intranet to support accurate inventory management and efficient warehouse operations.
II. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Warehouse Management System Support & Maintenance: Perform routine monitoring, testing, maintenance, and operational support of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to promote system reliability and effective warehouse operations. Assist with system configuration, upgrades, enhancements, and testing in accordance with established requirements and procedures.
System Troubleshooting & Technical Coordination: Investigate and troubleshoot WMS issues reported by end users, identify potential causes, document findings, and coordinate with appropriate internal or external technical resources when additional support is required. Track reported issues through resolution and communicate status updates to affected users.
Inventory Control Systems & Data Integration: Support inventory control processes by facilitating and monitoring file feeds and data exchanges between the WMS and supplemental systems. Assist with identifying system or data discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions to support the accuracy and integrity of inventory information.
Procedures, Training & End-User Support: Develop, document, and maintain WMS procedures, work instructions, training materials, and other user resources. Provide training and ongoing assistance to end users regarding established system processes, functionality, updates, and upgrades. Communicate system changes and relevant instructions to affected personnel in a timely manner.
Digitization & Information Resource Support: Coordinate assigned digitization initiatives for the section to improve accessibility of information and efficiency of warehouse processes. Develop and maintain the section's inventory control Intranet page and other electronic resources, ensuring information remains current, organized, and accessible to appropriate end users. Will abide by the Quality Policy in regards to ISO 9000 and will abide by the Environmental, Health & Safety regulations as they pertain to ISO 14001.
THM: Promote cleanliness and order through the implementation of the Total House Keeping Maintenance program. Emphasize Nothing Touch Ground program and No Visual Pollution program. Maintain the plant in like new condition.
III. QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High School graduate or equivalent and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in inventory control with computer hardware/software proficiency.
Previous Related Experience Required
