Warehouse Manager

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Under limited supervision, oversees all activities related to receiving, stocking, kitting and shipping for all materials and virtual transactions, while directly interacting with all departments supporting manufacturing as well as those that have contact with outside customers and vendors.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Demonstrate good leadership, organization, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Lead Virtual Transactions team and collaborate with involved departments to drive issues resolution and process improvement.
  • Understanding of all procedures, quality and process control parameters and drive improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal, external customers and customer service to meet On Time Delivery goals.
  • Accountable and responsible for high standards of warehouse safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Manage headcount, hire, and train new associates as needed.
  • Coordinate periodic cycle counting of inventory and drive actions to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Understanding of Q.C. requirements and specifications as they pertain to all processes
  • Understanding and maintaining accuracy in all documentation such as packing slips, receivers, bills of lading, material certs and invoices.
  • Ordering and maintaining all packaging supplies while maintaining the allocated budget.
  • Maintaining all corporate supplied logistic carriers for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Full knowledge of all shipping, receiving, 5S and material handling procedures and paperwork as they pertain to all departments as well as international shipping procedures and documents.
  • Maintain necessary records as required by ISO.
  • Maintain weekly work schedules, department vacation schedules, overtime, and payroll signoffs.
  • Conduct yearly reviews for all direct reports.
  • Maintain cycle counts and inventory accuracy in all locations.
  • Understand QAD reports and the correlation for on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct daily team meetings and administer any necessary disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct yourself up to the Ferrotec code of ethics and business conduct guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business.
  • Achievement of objectives must include an over-riding commitment to quality that must permeate the areas of responsibility.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with SQL and/or other databasing programming languages preferred.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, QlikSense) preferred.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow basic written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read and perform basic mathematics.
  • Ability to communicate with team members within and outside of department.
  • Valid certified fork truck driver.
  • Strong sense of commitment and urgency when handling departmental matters.
  • Must be independent, quality and cost conscious, with skills in leadership and team building.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Computer skills are necessary to fulfill the requirements of position.
  • Self-motivated, able to make independent decisions.
  • Knowledge of Lean and Process Flow Layout in Warehouses.
  • Experience using Oracle.
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other collaborative suite of software such as Google Drive.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Thorough knowledge of warehousing principles, practices and procedures is required.

The salary range included in this job posting is relevant to applicants who reside or work in the Livermore, CA area only. Salary offers will depend on experience, knowledge, skills, education, and location. Actual salary may vary due to these and other factors.
