ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
WAREHOUSE FOCUS

• Manage material flow systems to meet production requirements.
• Manage inventory levels; track stock, optimize storage space.
• Oversee the receiving process, including quality checks, and coordinate shipping.
• Manage disposal of garbage, recycling and hazardous waste materials in a cost saving manner and according to applicable regulations and company policies.
• Ensure fulfillment of salvage sales by effective inventory tracking, monitoring, and production of items moved to the salvage market.
• Ensure all warehouse equipment, tools, and supplies are maintained in good working conditions, scheduling maintenance as needed. Adhere to and enforce safety and loss prevention procedures to prevent
injury to personnel and damage to property, equipment, and inventory.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and safe worksite.


PERSONNEL FOCUS
• Provide supervision and leadership for the warehouse.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate warehouse staff to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards. Assign tasks and ensure efficient productivity while fostering a positive work environment.
• Effectively resolve issues with team members, clients, and donors.


ADMINISTRATIVE FOCUS
• Analyze warehouse operations, recognize potential issues before they arise, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Track performance related to warehouse efficiency, productivity, and cost control.
• Prepare accurate and complete paperwork and reports.
• Comply with all department and agency policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Ensure all operations are performed in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
• Embrace the core values of the agency in the spirit in which the agency operates at work and in the community. Contribute to the fulfillment of department and agency objectives and goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years related work experience
• Ability to become forklift certified within 30 days of hire
• Possess a valid Driver License, clean driving record, and carry the minimum liability coverage as required by the State of Texas. Able to pass a pre-employment background check and Drug/Alcohol test. Reliable transportation with the ability to travel within the region
• Demonstrates sensitivity and the ability to communicate with a diverse population.
• Knowledge of safety and quality standards.
• General understanding of facility maintenance
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Basic computers skills


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Supervisory experience


PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS
• Ability to work in hot/cold, humid and/or dusty environment
• Ability to bend, push, pull and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs. with assistance
