Warehouse Manager

RMI is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse operations and become a long-term member of our team. We are looking for a hands-on leader who takes ownership, develops people, follows established processes, and keeps inventory, orders, equipment, and daily operations running safely and efficiently.

At RMI, we are not simply looking to fill a job-we are looking for someone who wants to build a career with us. We value employees who want to grow professionally, take on greater responsibility, and contribute to the company's long-term success. For the right person, this is an opportunity to become an important part of our team for years to come.

What You'll Do

As Warehouse Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the people, inventory, workflow, safety, and performance of the warehouse. You'll work closely with Customer Service, Sales, Operations, and Management to ensure products are received, stored, picked, and shipped accurately and on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the warehouse team by assisting with hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, scheduling, attendance management, performance management, and employee development. Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for safety, accuracy, productivity, and following company procedures.
  • Manage receiving and shipping operations, ensuring inbound products are received, verified, documented, and stored correctly and outbound orders are picked, packed, documented, and shipped accurately and on time.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper location control, cycle and spot counts, inventory adjustments, discrepancy investigation, and accurate system transactions. Monitor product damage and shrink and take steps to reduce inventory loss.
  • Manage warehouse layout and workflow, including rack utilization, product placement, picking efficiency, organization, and housekeeping. Continually look for practical ways to improve workflow, reduce errors, and increase efficiency.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture by enforcing company policies and applicable workplace safety requirements, conducting regular inspections, ensuring proper PPE use, identifying hazards, and taking proactive steps to prevent incidents.
  • Oversee in-house forklift, order picker, and material-handling equipment training, including operator training, evaluations, authorization, refresher training, and required documentation.
  • Establish and monitor warehouse KPIs, including employee productivity, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, product damage, and on-time shipping. Use performance data to identify issues and drive measurable improvements.
  • Oversee warehouse equipment and facility condition, including forklifts, order pickers, dock equipment, racking, and other warehouse equipment. Coordinate inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate systems and documentation, including WMS/ERP transactions, inventory systems, receiving and shipping documentation, training records, and operational reports.
  • Coordinate across departments, maintaining strong communication with Customer Service, Sales, Operations, and Management to resolve issues, meet customer needs, and keep orders and products moving efficiently.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is an experienced warehouse leader who can manage people while also managing the operation. You should be comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, making decisions, solving problems, and holding yourself and your team accountable for results.

Qualified candidates should have previous warehouse management or supervisory experience; demonstrated experience hiring, training, coaching, and managing employees; strong organizational, time-management, communication, and problem-solving skills; and a solid understanding of receiving, shipping, inventory control, warehouse workflow, and safety practices.

Candidates should also be computer literate and comfortable working with WMS/ERP, inventory, data-entry, and reporting systems. Experience overseeing forklifts, order pickers, and other powered material-handling equipment is required, and experience conducting or overseeing operator training is strongly preferred.

Applicants must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check and provide professional references.
