Warehouse Material Handler

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform picking, packing, and staging of materials according to work instructions, pick lists, and system requirements.
• Receive, unload, and decant incoming materials, verifying quantities and condition of goods.
• Complete put-away of inventory into designated storage locations following warehouse procedures.
• Prepare outbound shipments by packing, labeling, and staging products for shipment.
• Operate as a warehouse runner, moving materials between departments or work areas as needed.
• Support service-related warehouse tasks to ensure timely order fulfillment and operational flow.
• Safely operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, and powered industrial equipment (training provided as required).
• Follow established warehouse standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Perform a variety of warehouse-related tasks as assigned to meet operational demands.

Required Skills:

• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities.
• Basic reading and comprehension skills to follow written instructions, labels, and safety procedures.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment and recordkeeping.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented.
• Exhibits the ability to work well with others and maintain organization between cross-related departments
• Willingness to fill in for any position as needed

Experience/Education Required/Sought:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements/PPE:

• Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and gloves as applicable.
