Warehouse Operator

Job overview:

The warehouse operator is a key part in completing all shipping, receiving, and storage activities. A majority of tasks in the position require the warehouse operator to operate a forklift, scissor lift etc. The warehouse operator is also expected to utilize our ERP system and scan guns as needed.

Tasks

Responsibilities:

Loading and unloading of trucks
Palletizing finished products
Maintain forklift equipment and appropriate documentation.
Maintain current Forklift Certification
Reporting of damage during transport
Control and ensure correct inventory for deliveries and dispatches
Entry of goods deliveries and packaging materials using the Navision operating system
Provision of dispatch documents and transfer to transporters
Monitoring of inventory and forwarding of information, i.e. differences to Production Logistics
Early reporting of material bottlenecks to Production Logistics and Procurement at the plant
Verification of occupancy of High Rack Warehouse spaces
Observance of the regulations and execution of work according to Warehousing and Dispatch document
Entry of controls according to Sight, Quantity and Identity Controls of raw materials, packing materials and other products into Navision.
Monitoring of empty pallets upon arrival in the warehouse according to the instructions.
Random sample collection for QA as needed according to the instructions of QA
Placement of markings and correct staging of material as designated by QA ( Released, Hold, Blocked)
Staging of finished products according to VA 07.05.05 Warehousing and Dispatch
Exit controls of trucks according to Sight, Quantity and Identity Controls upon dispatch of finished products.
Notification of sources of danger in the Warehouse area and observance of instructions from the Occupational Safety and Health management system
Correct separation of waste according to Waste Control
Observance of hygiene, HACCP, allergy, glass and blade management.
Responsible to plan and conduct daily work assigned in the Warehouse area for efficiency, cleaning, and provide cooperation with co-workers as needed. Observance of Safety Guidelines, Hygiene Guidelines, Internal Work Rules and Emergency and Evacuation Plan for Swedesboro Plant for employees in the Warehouse area.
All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED preferred
2 years or more forklift experience in a warehouse setting
Must be able to sit for up to 4 hours
Lift, push, pull up to 60 lbs.
Bend, crouch, reach for product/materials.
Ability to communicate effectively with outside vendors
Must be able to walk/stand for up to 4 hours
Maintain current Forklift certification
