Warehouse Operator I
Summary
Operates warehouse equipment like forklifts and balers, sorts metals, and ensures safety compliance in a recycling facility.
The Warehouse Operator will operate several machines in the warehouse that include Forklift, Power tools, and Baler. The Warehouse Operator will perform various tasks to support all warehouse functions.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform duties in compliance with all Company policies and local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Safely operate and maintain all equipment associated with the Loaders, Forklifts, Balers.
- Conduct daily pre and post trip inspections as required by OSHA and Key Works Metals standards.
- Ensure employees are properly trained to operate and/or maintain all equipment.
- Grade and weigh all customer metals with accuracy.
- Report contaminated loads to supervisors and/or management.
- Assist customers in the correct location to unload and help if necessary.
- Load/unload trucks and trailers.
- Sort and refine metal commodities to the highest value.
- Monitor final products for excessive contamination and report to supervisors and/or management.
- Maintain a clear and hazard free shipping area.
- Perform work on weekends, and/or holidays and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
